Blended Cement

Blended cement can be defined as uniform mix of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and blending materials such as silica fumes, fly ash, limestone and slag to enhance its properties for different uses.  Characteristic of Blended Cement. Ø   Reduces water demand. Ø   Enhances resistance to sulphate attack and chloride protection. Ø   Improves workability and pumpability. Ø   Lower drying shrinkage and creep. Ø   Lower potential for alkali aggregate reaction.
